Joy Producer: Client facing hospitality and content creator
We’re in search of new talent at Okay, Perfect Hospitality Group, and looking for a dynamic content creator and hospitalian to join our team.
About Okay, Perfect:
Okay, Perfect, a top 2% woman-owned company in the US, is a growing queer and employee-owned public benefit corporation with a global team. Our ventures include La Pitchoune in the south of France, the Courageous Cooking School, RecipeKick, and more. Despite our remote work setup, we maintain a close-knit team that values direct communication, healthy debate, and the luxury of being a small, nimble business. We prioritize flexibility, balance, and a love for travel, with our flagship location nestled in the south of France.
About RecipeKick:
RecipeKick, an Okay, Perfect brand, is a live-streamed, mostly recipe-free cooking platform reigniting the love affair between home cooks and their kitchens. The RecipeKick platform boasts 1,000+ members (and growing daily!) and 15,000+ minutes of quality content. Our on-air talent lead livestreams where students learn foundational techniques, flavors and principles, not rigid steps. We call it the Courageous Cooking Method and it’s all about embracing what’s seasonal and abundant, whether from the farmer’s market or your fridge. This approach helps cooks gain skills and the freedom to trust their intuition.
About the role:
Okay, Perfect, Joy Producer (Event and Social Media Producer, Client Facing)
The Joy Producer is a hospitalian and content creator. Think of yourself like the main camp counsellor at summer camp. Your mission is to find our clients and magnetise them into the company, interface with them while on-site, build rapport, keep the magic going while they are with us, document it, and then deliver to them the magic in a form they can keep forever and share on their socials.
It is AOK to utilise this role to build your own clout too. You can literally have some of the reels you post be ‘I am the joy producer at ________ and here is a day in my life’ and cross post to your own socials. We are very flexible, and see this as a great role for someone who is looking to grow their own following/clout at the same time.
This is a contract role. Paid monthly. Initial contract is 90 days (March through May, or April through June), no visa required. 5 days a week. Lodging and vehicle included. 3000 USD per month, with growth potential to other roles and higher pay rates after the initial 3 months.
After initial contract, you’ll receive contracts from TWO different clients, which fulfils the self-employed visa requirements in France, you will then be responsible to get your own visa. Unless you have legal working permissions in Europe already. Please note: 27% of your pay will be owed to France in Social charges.
After the initial contract, all subsequent contracts are 12 months. Infinitely renewable. Pay increase of 5% minimum at each contract renewal, can be negotiated higher based on performance.
Deliverables:
* Co-Ideate, produce, film, and edit 20 reels per week:
-5 for La Peetch
-5 for Detour
-5 for RecipeKick
-5 for CEOs Social Media account
* Get social media into our admin’s hands for posting or choose to post yourself (We’d prefer you to post, but also understand that is challenging when client facing)
* Work with customer experience team to engage with clients before, during, and after their stay with us. Sending clients pieces of content that they can repurpose on their social media and share with family/friends that documents their trip in a beautiful way.
* Quarterly deep-dive video production with full-team for longer form work for YouTube and to create content for future projects.
* Interface with clients and film them where possible and allowed
* Work with the clients while on-site to have magical time including managing the $100 per week client budget to find, purchase, and make the magic happen while clients are on-site.
* Be on campus at least three days a week during high-season to support in whatever way is needed, be the liaison between our instructors and the clients, and support the house manager where needed.
* Lead tour guide twice a week during Cooking School season. Driving, socialising, and building rapport with guests so they are more amenable to filming testimonials at the end of the week.
* Occasional dish duty (once or twice a week, max during Cooking School season when needed, not necessarily weekly)
*This role is the backup to our house manager, and may on occasion require cleaning and other duties, but that WILL NOT be the bulk of your responsibilities. For example: If say…Everyone is out of town, and the house manager is ill, you’d have to pinch hit for them.
* Should be a decent writer but don’t have to be the world’s best! Writing will be 1% of total job responsibilities.
Client facing hours:
High-Season: 3 days (24 hours) in-person, 2 days (16 hours) editing/filming only
Low Season: 5 or less hours per week in low season
This role is for a naturally effervescent personality that thrives on making people happy and documenting joy, and being the impetus for that joy. The bulk of your job is building client rapport so that they gleefully give us their consent to use their likeness on social media to encourage other clients to join us in the future!
Travel required! You’ll be traveling 6+ weeks a year to destinations around the globe with RecipeKick Adventures. All expenses paid. AND by year 3 or 4, this travel will increase to 12+ weeks a year. But never in a row.
Additional things:
Must be willing to drive clients in multiple countries.
Must speak English and French.
Can also be based anywhere in Europe, and have legal working rights, but needs to be willing to be in France 90 days at a stretch.
